Isabel Shanches is a PhD in Educational Sciences where she studies Society, Handicap et Inclusion at the Lumière University in Lyon (France). She is an Associate Professor at the Lusófona University, in Lisbon. She has teaching and coordination experience in Primary and Secondary Education (as School Director, Member of the Executive Council, Delegate of Discipline, Class Director, and Library Director) in Higher Education (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Education (João de Deus Education and Lusófona University), and in Special Education (Educational support to children with motor deficiencies integrated in the Schools of Regular Education, Support and pedagogical supervision of the new teachers of Special Education – Lisbon District, Santarém and Setúbal and Coordination of the Lisbon Regional Team). Accredited trainer for Continuing Teacher Training.
